The leading No advocates were Indigenous, with Northern Territory Country Liberal senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and former Liberal candidate Nyunggai Warren Mundine both the face of the campaign.

The Voice to Parliament and the executive government proposal was designed not to recognise Indigenous people with a constitutionally-enshrined advisory body.
